All in all, it made for a quick read, but nothing to really recommend. I purchased this for my dad's birthday last year and he really enjoyed it. I browsed through the book and was ecstatic about all of the great info. I know it's one of those books on my bookshelf that I'll continue to come back to over and over again. The hero appears in the first book to be irresponsible, thoughtless and lacking in honor. But believability is almost beside the point; the truly remarkable thing about this novel is how it manages to dive deep into a profoundly serious and dispiriting subject with such a deft, light touch. I want to look at examples and think "Wow. This book will remind you that if you want a "dream job," you will need to create it for yourself. If you are comfortable with sermon series that reduce the gospel to self-help acronyms, don’t read this book. The focus on power points, amplified by personal anecdotes in which the author always comes out on topor learns such a quick lesson that that mistake is never made againis one of the things that prevents laying the book down to think about what the larger import of the anecdotes might mean for the readeror for the author.
