While the plot was a bit schizophrenic in places and the resolutions to issues a bit thin in places, if you're able to just accept the story that's unfolding without questioning too much, it makes for a very enjoyable ride and fills in a few gaps connecting the Circle series, Paradise series and other Dekker books and how they tie together in much the same way the Stephen King's Dark Tower series ties into many of King's novels.
