Tom Anderson is just being re-discovered, and rightly so. A Shetland musician, his music covers many moods. My favorite is Da Slokit Light, a mournful tune. I was so pleased to find this book available so I can teach myself more of his wonderful tunes....

I like the first book of the set, "Prefixes and Suffixes. The stories of a former riverboat captain and the beautiful photos make the history of paddleboats come alive. The characters do not disappoint or lack. I will be taking this book when I visit again. Adorable and perfect for my upcoming trip back home to San Diego. This might have been forgivable if the story had been stronger and the outcome more gripping, but because the story was not particularly extraordinary in those areas, it had no room for the uncomfortable flaws in Sarabeth's character.
